Voting, how does it work

Voters can view the before and after photos, click on the photo to enlarge and read job details that were submitted by the contractors placing entries.

Once they have viewed all the details, they have two categories to vote on.

For "Originality" 1-10
1 being the worst... 10 being the best.
This is for originality of design, pattern and color.

For "Street Appeal" 1-10
1 being the worst... 10 being the best.
This is for drive by street appeal.

After placing their vote, voters will be asked if they would like to add a comment. A small popup with a comment entry box will allow the voter to add comments about the entry they just voted on. The voters email address will show up beside the comment when the comments popup is viewed, so please no profanity or distasteful comments.

The votes for Originality and Street Appeal are added and averaged for each particular entry. Results are updated real-time.

Note: To ensure a fare contest, voters are restricted to one vote per driveway. This is accomplished by requiring the voter to enter their email address in the voting popup to validate the vote. The voter will be asked at this time if they would like to comment on the driveway, it is not required for the vote to qualify.

From what angle and position should my photo be taken

As a general rule, photos taken early in the morning and late in the afternoon produce the best results.
Try taking photos from a variety of distances and angles of the driveway. Review your photos and choose the photo that best displays the driveway.

Remember, voters are rating the driveway. We find the best results are achieved with the camera level and approximately 12 to 24 inches off the surface. Try capturing as much of the pattern and design as possible.
